How to Delete an Audit in GEO Audit: A Step-by-Step Guide

Overview

This guide walks you through the simple process of deleting an audit in the GEO Audit tool. Whether you want to remove a single audit or clear out multiple audits at once, this step-by-step tutorial will help you do it confidently and quickly. Deleting audits you no longer need keeps your dashboard organized and makes it easier to focus on important data.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you are logged into your GEO Audit account.
  • You should have at least one audit created and visible on your dashboard.
  • Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to delete audits (usually granted to account owners or admins).

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to Your Dashboard
Log in to GEO Audit and navigate to your dashboard where all your audits are listed. This is your home base for managing audits.

  2. Locate the Audit List
Scroll through the audit list to find the audit(s) you want to delete. Each audit is displayed with details like name, date, and status.

  3. Delete a Single Audit Using the Action Menu

    • Find the audit you want to delete.
    • Look to the right side of that audit entry for the action menu icon (three dots).
    • Click the three dots to open the menu.
    • Select Delete from the dropdown.
    • A confirmation prompt will appear—confirm that you want to delete the audit.
    • The audit will be removed from your list immediately.
  4. Delete Multiple Audits at Once (Batch Delete)

    • On the left side of each audit entry, you will see a checkbox.
    • Click the checkboxes next to all audits you want to delete.
    • After selecting multiple audits, a Delete button will appear (usually at the top or bottom of the list).
    • Click Delete and confirm when prompted.
    • All selected audits will be deleted together, saving you time.

What's Next?

After cleaning up your audits, you might want to:

  • Create a new audit to track fresh data.
  • Export audit reports to share with your team.
  • Explore filtering and sorting options to better organize your audit list.
